Philip was born with complex craniofacial conditions and underwent 25 surgeries in his lifetime. Through pain, recovery, and resilience, his life revealed both the incredible power of modern medicine—and the heartbreaking reality that millions of children around the world never have access to it. Philip’s journey became the foundation of Love Without Reason’s commitment to provide world-class, science-based craniofacial care to children born with cleft lip, cleft palate, and other craniofacial anomalies—at no cost to families who cannot afford treatment.
From One Child to a Global Mission
What began in India, inspired by Philip’s life, has grown into a global medical mission now extending across Africa. Love Without Reason conducts specialized screening and surgical camps in regions where access to craniofacial care is limited or nonexistent. Each medical camp carries Philip’s legacy forward—ensuring that children born with treatable conditions are given the same chance at life, dignity, and confidence that he fought for.

Understanding Craniofacial Conditions
Approximately 1 in 700 births worldwide is affected by cleft lip or cleft palate. Cranio refers to the skull, and facial refers to the face.
Love Without Reason treats both isolated cleft conditions and complex craniofacial syndromes on a case-by-case basis. Our surgeons reconstruct damaged bone and tissue and correct deformities of the head, skull, face, nose, jaws, and related structures—helping children eat, speak, hear, and thrive.
Nourishing Hope Before Surgery
Infants born with cleft lip and palate often struggle to feed. Without the ability to create proper suction, they are vulnerable to malnutrition, especially in underserved communities. To address this, Love Without Reason provides specialized feeding bottles, such as Dr. Brown’s Bottles, to help infants receive adequate nutrition, gain strength, and become fit for surgery.
